Out in Delray (3/29/08)

At the end of March Casey worked in Florida for the week and Duncan met her that weekend. They met up with friends- Gaida & Matt Zirklebach, Jen & Lenny Pisciotto, Steph & Andrew Fishman, and Rachel & Ray- for dinner in Delray. It was nice to catch up with great friends!

Wedding (Februrary 2008)

Duncan & Casey got married on February 9, 2008, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The day was also shared with Susie & Denis Stricker- Duncan's Aunt & Uncle- who got married on the same day in 1968 and Casey's Grandma, Virginia, who celebrated her 80th birthday.

The ceremony was held at the First Presbyterian Church followed by a reception at the Ft. Lauderdale Yacht Club.

In addition to the Church's Pastor, Casey's Cousin, Rev. Marshall Bruner, also officiated. Family and friends from as close far as Alaska and even London came to celebrate with us. We felt very special, loved, and happy. What a great time!!

Honeymoon (February 2008)

We honeymooned in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, located about 145 miles NW of Acapulco. We spent 7 days at The Tides Hotel, which was amazing! The hotel is located on the beach, pretty much in the center of the Bay. Besides relaxing on the beach each day we went swimming with the dolphins (Casey was very very excited!), played a round of tennis, toured the downtown market, rented a Hobie Cat sail boat, went over to Ixtapa Island for some snorkeling, enjoyed the la fiesta on the beach put on by the hotel- complete with a full Mariachi Band- and went out on the town for our last night (sunset viewing at Hotel Amuleto, dinner at Coconuts- the oldest building in town, and dancing at the popular Banditos).

It was a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!!

Stricker Baby Shower

On Saturday (4/12/08) Casey went out to Susie and Denis Stricker's house (Duncan's Aunt & Uncle on his Mom's side) in Long Island for Patty & Leigh's baby shower. It was a very nice shower with so many friends! They haven't chosen (or revealed?) a name yet, so the future baby is temporarily being called Bumper Stricker. Bumper Stricker now has a beginning library, many toys, a nursery decorated in farm animal theme, and will be very stylish in the new clothes. It was a nice time...congrats to Patty & Leigh!

New York Junior League

As many of you know, Casey was active in the Junior League of Greater Ft. Lauderdale. She transferred her membership to the New York chapter in March. She's been to a couple of events for "transfers" like herself and has met some nice ladies.

New Job For Duncan!

This month Duncan began working with Iridian Asset Management LLC where he is a Research Analyst. We are very excited for him!

Casey's 30th Birthday Party!

Duncan planned a great party on Saturday (4/5/08) at Kush Lounge in the Lower East Side. The party was so much fun- complete with toasts, dancing, and strawberry shortcake.

The Graf's, Lee, Claire, Kate & Ciaran, and both Traupman brothers helped Casey ring in her 30th.

Sara Walters from Ft. Lauderdale was in town & stopped by.

Before the party a few friends met for Tapas at 1492. (Yum!)

Also, we had a very special visitor - Lauren, Casey's sister. She was a lot of fun and Casey was so glad to have her there! It was a wonderful weekend.
