We're back...and with a new(ish) addition!

I have been delinquent in blogging this past year. But I am happy to have started posting again. At the moment we do not have a fish named popcorn. We are planning to get a new one soon. We do, however, have a baby boy named Jack. He is 9 months old and awesome! Hope you enjoy keeping up with our adventures.
Love,
-Casey

Recent trip to S.Fla

On a recent trip to South Florida a couple of weeks ago Casey was able to spend some time with friends. She & Steph Rumin met at Big City after work one night, followed by dinner with Ilisa at Galanga. The next day Steph Rumin, Steph & Ella Fishman, Kristin Pernicano, and Kristen Schwacter (plus 1/2) met for lunch. It was great seeing them!

Dartmouth Reunion- June 13, 2008

The Simmons headed up to Hanover, New Hampshire, for Duncan's Class of 1999 College Reunion at Dartmouth. Casey had never been to that area or the school. We got there in time for lunch with Veyssel & Joanna at Hanover Inn and then went for a walk around campus.

Friday night there was a dinner and party afterwards.

Saturday we went to a BBQ lunch at the Boat house, reunion party at Duncan's Fraternity House (Sig Ep), and then class dinner- followed by hanging out in the Fraternity basement playing Pong...of course!

They really have a great concept for reunions by combining 3 years worth of classes. So, this was the 1997, 1998, & 1999 reunion. We saw old friends like Veyssel ('99) and Joanna (now in Medical School there), Elizabeth ('01) & Arnold Song ('99), Angela & Justin Evans ('99), The Dadakis'- Jason ('99), Katey ('98), and new Maia, Healy ('99) & Michelle Jones, Kim & Luke Hart ('99) and Claire ('99) & Matt Jeffers. It was great also being there with other alumns/friends from New York like Pete ('99) & Libby ('00) Graf, Matt Traupman ('99), Lee Bronsnick ('99) and fiance Jael Wagener.

Kayaking with the Strickers

Yesterday Casey & Duncan spent the day with Aunt Susie & Uncle Denis Stricker. They treated us to kayaking on the Nissequogue River that connects to the Long Island Sound. We had some rain, but only for about 15 min. and were able to scoot under a tree to stay dry. It was a gorgeous day. The area is beautiful- a marshy river surrounded by gorgeous homes (but not too many), swans, egrets, and other birds. Unfortunately we didn't have a camera, but will take pics the next time. We also saw a cool turtle! What a great, fun summer day.

Lee's Bachelor Party in Saratoga Springs, NY

The weekend of June 6th Duncan and his friends headed upstate for Lee's Bachelor Party. The weekend was complete with white water rafting, poker, sunburns, campfires, and no doubt pong games. Dartmouth friends Mark Woodard, Matt Traupman, Ciarian Connelly, and Dave Rapson were there along with the Best Man (Brother) Dan and two childhood friends.

End of Year Junior League Party (5/29/08)

Duncan went with Casey to the Junior League End-of-the-Year White Party. New friends Anna & Josh Saxton and Meg & Patrick Mohan also went. Anna & Meg are also new to JL.

Memorial Day Weekend

Duncan & Casey went down to Tallahassee for Memorial Day weekend. Saturday they met up with Lauren, Bryant, and friends in Alligator Point.

Sunday there was a party at the Clark's. Lots of friends (The Zierdens, Maria, Dennis & Denise)and family (Cousin Bobby Powell, her son & his family) came. It was a great time!

Simmons visit!

In Mid-May we had a visit from Duncan' Mom, Sally, his Aunt, Susie, Uncle, Denis, and Grandma, Ginger. They were all headed to Duncan's other Uncle's (Ray/Thad) Graduation in Washington D.C. where he received his Masters! Sally & Ginger extended the trip by visiting Susie & Denis in Long Island. The whole gang came over for a visit. We also had Pat, one of Ginger's long time friends who lives here in NYC. It was such a nice day and fun visit.
