We're back...and with a new(ish) addition!

I have been delinquent in blogging this past year. But I am happy to have started posting again. At the moment we do not have a fish named popcorn. We are planning to get a new one soon. We do, however, have a baby boy named Jack. He is 9 months old and awesome! Hope you enjoy keeping up with our adventures.
Love,
-Casey

Christmas in Bellevue

Duncan & Casey were unsure if they would make it to Christmas in Bellevue (Seattle area) this year. There was record snowfall! But, they made it and had a wonderful visit. It was not only Casey's first Simmons Christmas, but her first white one! The visit was complete with: Christmas Eve service (in their boots because of the snow), a lot of relaxing by the fire, many traditions, and a visit to the acquarium. Unfortunately the Northern Wrights (Duncan's Uncle Steve, Aunt Joyce, and their kids Genny & Alex) couldn't make it because of the snow. We hope to see them another time.
Another nice Christmas present was that Ginger (Duncan's Grandma), who has been in the hospital, was much better! They visited twice and it was great to see her and that she is improving.

A couple days after Christmas they met up with old friends Chad & Mike- and got to meet Mike's fiance, Laura!

Boonedoggle 2008

Definition of Boonedoggle from Urban Dictionary: "An annual fishing trip for men only. Beer, Poker and cooking of meat on an open fire far outweigh the actual fishing part of the trip. Sleep is limited to short naps between meals, and during such moments of rest the other fishermen can make loud rude comments to disturb your bliss."

Well, this wasn't a fishing trip. Women were allowed and invited. Instead of poker they play "pong" (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dartmouth_pong). No open fires, as we are in New York City- but there was plenty of yummy pizza! And there were no rude noises- or at least Casey, thankfully, missed them.

This year's Boonedoggle (annual reunion of friends from Dartmouth who are either coming into town on their way to holiday vacations or just come for fun) was great! Elizabeth & Arnold Song stayed with us. It was fun having them. We saw friends from all over and had a blast.

(Elizabeth, Mark Woodard, Duncan, and Casey)

Dinner at La Mela on Friday night was kicked up a notch with the all boys table from Queens behind us. They were having a good time, though.
(The Songs with Abby at LaMella)

Karaoke at the Sopranos Bar (I don't know the name, but they filmed parts of the show there) was excellent:
(Duncan, Arnold & Lee)
(Duncan, Lee, Me, Kriston Sadlon, & Abby)

And...there was snow pong!

Ami's Mother/Daughter/Ladies Weekend here in NYC

Ami and all the Lake Placid women paid NYC a visit. Ami, her Mom (Boots), and Cat (sister-in-law) came with about 6 others. Casey got to spend a lot of time with them. We paid the tree at Rockefeller Center a visit (saw someone getting engaged- lordy!), had lunch at Grand Central and saw Santa Con (that was hillarious & hard to explain), did some shopping, went to brunch at Tavern on the Green and hit the holiday market at Columbus Circle, and Ami came down to have dinner with Casey & Duncan.

It was a special and fun visit. Come back soon!

Thanksgiving at The Clark's

C & D enjoyed thier first Thanksgiving (officially) at The Clarks in Tallahassee. With the exception of the last day, the fall weather was great!

Duncan & Lauren ran in the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning.

Thanksgiving was spent with Mom, Dad, & Lauren, Uncle Rob & Aunt Ruth, Cousin Maxine, and Grandma.

We also saw friends... Joan, Kim and her kids,

Betsy & Cory Couch- and little Caroline! (This was Duncan's first time meeting her),

engaged Suzanne & Scott, as well as Bryant and Lauren's old pals like Jaime & Mariah.

The weekend ended by going to the FSU v. UF game with Dad and Lauren...and proceeded to get soaked. But it was a fun time!
