We're back...and with a new(ish) addition!

I have been delinquent in blogging this past year. But I am happy to have started posting again. At the moment we do not have a fish named popcorn. We are planning to get a new one soon. We do, however, have a baby boy named Jack. He is 9 months old and awesome! Hope you enjoy keeping up with our adventures.
Love,
-Casey

Lee & Jael's Wedding

This weekend we celebrated Lee & Jael's wedding! It was a great time! The Rehearsal Dinner was at China 1, followed by a stop at No Malice Palace- both in the East Village. The Grooms cake was complete with a ticker (Lee is in Finance) predicting a good future for the couple.

The ceremony and reception was held at Battery Gardens. The reception was so much fun very pretty. Views of the water, sunset, Statue of Liberty and Battery Park/Gardens made for a very "New York" and nice setting.

Brunch with Jen & Ali!

Jen Pisciotto (Stetson bud) was in town for work so she met up with Casey & Ali (another Stetson bud who also lives in NYC) for brunch. It was great catching up!

Visiting the Stenslands (7/20/08)

C & D went to visit Petter & Gina Stensland on Sunday afternoon/evening for dinner. Petter & Duncan both worked together years ago. The Stenslands have a new baby boy, Jimmy (10 months), and this was our first time meeting him. It was a very nice time!

Petter, Duncan, & Jimmy Casey & Jimmy Duncan reading Jimmy the book we gave him. Gina (Mom) is looking on....

Sandy Hook Beach (7/19/08)

Walking from the ferry to the beach...
Throwing the football...

The Simmons!

Casey & Duncan went to the beach at Sandy Hook, NJ, with Matt on Saturday. It was a gorgeous, but very hot day- perfect for the beach!

Afterwards, Casey & Duncan went to watch the sunset on the "Frying Pan." This is an old boat & dock turned into bar/restaurant on the Hudson. It was a great way to end the day...

New Museum Exhibit

The Simmons went to an opening for an exhibit at the New Museum last night. The facility is very cool and has a great view from the top floor (left). The exhibit was pretty out there, but they liked it and had a great time! (Thanks David & Jessi for the membership!)

Manhattanhenge 2008

On Friday 7/11/08 Duncan & Casey went to check out the phenomenon known as "Manhattanhenge." After seeing a clip on the news the night before they just had to see what this was all about. A good portion of the City's streets are designed on a near perfect grid of about 30 degrees. Because of this design, about twice per year (correlating with the solstices) the sun sets exactly in between the buildings and is referred to as "Manhattanhenge" (as in Stonehenge).

We stood on top of the Tudor City bridge, which goes across 42nd St., and had an amazing view!
