We're back...and with a new(ish) addition!

I have been delinquent in blogging this past year. But I am happy to have started posting again. At the moment we do not have a fish named popcorn. We are planning to get a new one soon. We do, however, have a baby boy named Jack. He is 9 months old and awesome! Hope you enjoy keeping up with our adventures.
Love,

MLK weekend 2009

The Simmonses had many visitors during Martin Luther King weekend! Oddly enough most of them were from S.Fla. Too bad we had some of the coldest weather yet...

Thursday Gina, Larry, and their son Orion met up for dinner in Midtown. Gina's sister Jessica & her friend Peter also joined the group. It was really fun and great to see them all!
Friday Casey & Duncan started the weekend off at Caracas Arepa Bar then went home for dinner & a movie. Saturday was Kate Werley's baby shower. Casey went along with Elizabeth and Kristin. The shower was so nice, her friends did a nice job. We had fun hearing about friends funny childhood stories!
Saturday night Glenn, Tina, and Nicky Ketover came down to the E. Village. We all went to three of cups for dinner- yum! After having been guests at their house many, many times it was nice to finally host them.
Sunday we started off the day by meeting Jen, Lenny, & Trey Piscotto and Lenny's friend Eric for breakfast. Trey loves snow and yelling at pigeons! Then Duncan went to Matt's house for football. Casey joined them, and Elizabeth, after the game for Vietnamese food in their neighborhood (Tribeca area).
Monday evening we had more guests in town. Casey's cousin Michael, his wife Angela, and their three boys Gabe, Tristan, and Seth stopped by to see them on the way back from Boston. Angela's brother and his wife live there and just had a baby girl! The boys liked taking turns on the Wii snowboarding game. It was pretty funny that Seth (kidnagartner) was a little bit better than Casey- ha! Then we all hit the road (not really, just walked a couple blocks down the street) for dinner at Bonjoo- a favorite Korean restaurant in the neighborhood. We loved that they took time out of their trip to spend with us. It was a very nice way to end the weekend. We hope they'll come back this summer for a BBQ!
