We're back...and with a new(ish) addition!

I have been delinquent in blogging this past year. But I am happy to have started posting again. At the moment we do not have a fish named popcorn. We are planning to get a new one soon. We do, however, have a baby boy named Jack. He is 9 months old and awesome! Hope you enjoy keeping up with our adventures.
Love,

Labor Day Weekend "Stay-cation"

Wondering what a "stay-cation" is? So were we! Apparently it is where you stay in your City/area and pretend you are on vacation. That is exactly what we did this past Labor Day weekend.

Friday we kicked the weekend off by going to the Boathouse in Central Park then dinner at a neighborhood spot (Cafe Cortadito).

Saturday we met Lee & Jael for brunch (Mudspot).

That night we went out with Meg & Patrick (The Mercer Kitchen & Sway).

Sunday was spent in Long Island with Susie & Denis. We went on a hike in Cold Spring Harbor followed by a very nice picnic in a park overlooking the water and boats.

Monday we met Janet (from Seattle), her boyfriend Ryan (moved to NYC this year), and their friend (visiting from Los Angeles) in Central Park for lunch and some sun.

We biked there and back. The way up, via 1st Ave., was pretty crazy for Casey who had never ridden a bike in the City. ("Please don't open your taxi door, please don't run over me bus, please stay in your lane you crazy fool in the moving van!") On the way back we went down the west side via Hudson River Park. That was the best- views of the parks and water and ... no motorized vehicles! (ha)

It was a fantastic weekend!
